This is Kirk Douglas' final film, in which he gives an incredible performance of a dying film-maker given the privileged look, Christmas CArol style, at the Akashic Records. The life he is observing is not his own, but that of his son, who he has not seen since childhood.
It is, deservedly, a presentation by The Spiritual Cinema Circle, dealing with themes in a wonderfully grounded way. The son was evidently affected by being abandoned by his father at a young age, which leads him into various repeating patterns of behaviour. Lifes beautiful synchronicity, its destiny and the existence of a soul-mate are also touched upon.
For me, this is exciting to see. The world is changing, there is an awakening of the spirit happening now, and for a screen legend to be supporting work such as this is a real sign of progress.
